What Is Counselling?

Counselling provides a place where you will be listened to and taken seriously. You will not be judged, but respected and encouraged. You will meet a counsellor for a first assessment appointment, and if further sessions are required, additionally weekly appointments will be arranged. Counselling sessions are 50 minutes long and take place at the same time every week. Daytime and evening appointments are available.

Who Will Counsel Me?

All our staff have enhanced DBS (Disclosure and Barring Service) checks and are carefully selected and trained to work with young people. Counsellors are fully qualified, or in the final stages of training. Their case loads are carefully monitored by a supervisor, and all abide by The British Association of Counselling and Psychotherapy (BACP).
