Have you got three hours a week to spare?
Would you like to make a difference to the lives of young people?
The Youth Enquiry Service is currently recruiting for volunteers to help run its drop in and counselling service. We would love to hear from you.
What does a volunteer do?
Our volunteers help staff during the busy drop in, which is open 5 days a week. Our drop in volunteers use listening skills and a non judgemental approach, they spend time with young people, assessing their needs and helping them explore and understand their options.
How much time do I need to give?
As much as you would like.
Even if it is only for a few hours a week we would love to hear from you. We also have opportunities for helping out while you are at home.
We have been helping the young people of High Wycombe for over 35 years so we have a wealth of experience in counselling, mental and sexual health.
We are only staffed by volunteers so you know you are making a difference to the life of a young person.
We have several benefits available to our volunteers as a way of saying thank you.
What age should I be?
We cater for all ages at YES, if you are at school or university come and speak to us about interning and working on a specific project.
What should I do now?
If you are interested, please fill in the form below. If your application is successful, we will be in touch to arrange an interview and training.
We also have other specialist opportunities for you to get involved:
I don't have the time to volunteer but I would love to help, what can I do?
We are completey reliant on the generous donations from the public. Any money you could spare would go towards improving the life of a young person.
